Overview

The plugin simplifies the creation of project templates in just a few clicks, which allows you to get rid of the routine work of exporting the project, searching and editing XML, cleaning the data, and preparing and adding additional files with template parameters.

After installation, the tool is available in the administration menu of Polarion at the project level. It automates the following actions:

• Creates a complete ZIP file ready to be uploaded as a project template
• Replaces existing project IDs and tracker prefix IDs with variables inside XML files automatically
• Cleans existing data selected by user during template creation
• Creates access.template file based on current project access configuration
• Generates template.properties file with the list of files to be processed automatically
• Allows resetting of Work Item IDs numbering
• Supports adding of parameters for the template
