The main purpose of the plugin is to copy configuration files between multiple projects to help administrators keep project configurations synchronized. In Polarion ALM, you can have groups of projects with the same workflows, but if you change one workflow, Polarion will not automatically copy these changes to other projects.

This plugin allows you to define groups of projects and synchronize configuration files between them. The user can define multiple groups with “source” and “target” projects.

5-Step Workflow for Configuration Management

1. Select Projects & Files: Choose the projects and specific configuration files to compare using various filter options.
2. Automatic Difference Report: The system generates a report of the differences, allowing you to review and select/unselect files for updating.
3. Analyze Changes: Review and approve changes that need to be synchronized.
4. Commit Changes: Once approved, commit the changes to your projects.
5. Summary Report: View a summary of the actions taken, ensuring the configuration files and the documentation are up to date.
